The Kinsmen Club of Edmonton has been instrumental in the development of several marquee sports and recreational facilities that have contributed greatly to the health and wellbeing of Edmontonians. The cornerstone of these facilities is still the Kinsmen Sports Centre, which when constructed in 1968, was the premier facility of its time. Over the years, the Club continued to expand and improve. This included building world-class swimming and diving venues which served both as the aquatic venue for the 1978 Commonwealth Games and the 1983 Universiade Games. In 1992, the Keltie Berne Fitness Centre was constructed.
A family-friendly river valley golf course since 1961, Kinsmen Pitch and Putt Offers Edmonton's most inexpensive green fees, and represents excellent value for families and young people. None of the course's 18 holes come in over 100 yards, allowing most golfers to navigate it with just one or two irons and a putter. As such,It is an excellent workout for your short game. It is also the perfect place for beginners and novices to learn without the time pressures found at most courses.
